Introductory Letter and Consent to Participate
Dear Nursing Colleague
I invite you to participate in a survey-based study entitled: Recommended Doctoral Degree Education for Nurses Aspiring to or Currently in the Chief Nursing Executive or Officer Role.
I am currently enrolled in the Doctorate in Nursing Practice Executive Leadership Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The purpose of this study to is gain insight into the nursing communities recommendations for the preferred or required terminal degree for the Chief Nursing Executive or Officer role.
The attached survey is designed to collect information on what nurses believe should constitute the recommended terminal degree for nursing executives.
Your participation in the process is completely voluntary. You may decline altogether, or leave blank any question(s) you do not wish to answer. There are no known risks to participation beyond those encountered in everyday life. Your responses will remain confidential and anonymous. Data from the survey will only be reported in the aggregate as a collective combined total. No other party will know your individual answers to the survey.
If you agree to participate in the survey, please answer the questions as best you can. Total time to complete the survey should take no more than 15 minutes.
